About Serving Aces

Serving Aces has been a specialist tennis shop on Mt Alexander Road in Moonee Ponds since 2010. We are a small team of players, coaches and stringers, and we spend our days helping people find gear that suits the way they actually play.

What you will find here

We carry nearly 200 racquet models from Babolat, Head, Wilson, Yonex and Volkl, from first junior frames to the racquets you see on tour. Alongside them are tennis shoes from Asics, Nike, K-Swiss and Head, plus bags, balls, strings, grips and everything else that goes in a tennis bag.

Not sure where to start? Try our racquet finder, or take a frame out on court first through our demo program.

Restringing done properly

Restringing is a big part of what we do. Our three main stringers, Matt, Jeremy and Jason, have around 40 years of experience between them, and our team includes stringers who work at the Australian Open and the US Open. We string on Yonex Precision 9.0 machines, the same model used at the Australian Open, and most racquets are ready the next day. Read more about our restringing service.

Advice from people who play

Everyone behind the counter plays the game. Ask us about grip sizes, string tensions, the right shoe for hard court or clay, or which frame will be kinder to a sore elbow. We would rather you walk out with the right racquet than the most expensive one.
